Checklist

  1. Verify the domain of the integrand.
  2. Identify if the integral is proper or improper.
  3. Maintain consistency of variable and limits during a substitution.
  4. Add only in indefinite integrals.
  5. In areas and volumes, use nonnegative distances and areas.
  6. In series, first check that , but do not confuse this necessary condition with a sufficient criterion.
  7. Differentiate the obtained antiderivative whenever possible.
